To know and make known the heart and will of God
Our vision for Plano and the church is that they would be madly and passionately in love with Jesus Christ thereby causing them to serve God and the body. We envision this church knowing the heart and will of God for their life and having a life that is persistently seeking after God. We see a church with an emphasis on the Spirit of God on the word of God working on the people of God. We see men and women producing fruit as we walk expositionally through the Bible so that the sheep are healthy in the Lord and that nothing is withheld from them among the scriptures. We see people with a dependency on Christ and not on man.
We see a church that is not hype on worldly programs but the one program of knowing and making known the heart and will of God. We see lives being changed because the people are experiencing the real thing with God.
We envision that the community would be an extension of our body here at Calvary Chapel Plano. We see street teams reaching out to the lost extending the borders of our family to all of Plano. We envision men and women in their work places sharing the love of Christ with others.
We envision a church that is full of discipleship where the older men disciple the younger men and likewise the older women to the younger women. We see a church that equips each believer for the work of the ministry. We see men and women taking the great commission to the mission field and telling them of the heart and will of God. Encouraging them to be seeking His will for their life and equipping them to make disciples and share their faith.
Calvary Chapel’s desire is that the sheep are the most love, best fed. Jesus said that they will know you are my disciples by your love. We see a church that is filled with the agape of Christ. Where the stranger will be welcomed as family and wounded would be bound up with love and support. We see a church that nurtures the children and the youth, interlocking all generations as a body of Christ just as the 1st Century believers had all things in common. This commonality is the heart and will of God for our lives as we passionately pursue God together.
We envision a people that know the love of God without a shadow of doubt, a people that walks in the grace of God. It is the Lord’s grace that keeps us from striving and simply trusting in His provision and his will for our life.
We see the faces of the people who have Christ dwelling in their hearts. The sounds of praises that are lifted from their voices that sets the heart and troubles at ease. A refuge for those in need and hurting. We see this church being a beacon for the shipwrecked for the Word of God is perfect in purifying the soul. We envision a community of believers thirsting after God, living in the grace of God, drawing others to Christ, serving the body, loving the lost and the brethren, experiencing Christ’s love through faith and personally experiencing all aspects of His love for us. Our vision is that we would decrease and Christ would increase. We mean this from the aspect that we would see people dependent on Christ and not some holy leader but it would be a genuine desire for the body to be seeking after the heart and will of God.
We envision a church that does not interfere with the relationship with Christ but one that feeds, waters, nurtures and gives place for His glory, His honor, His praise.
We see a church that is transparent and that all aspects of Christ’s love are manifested in us to His glory. We see a church that makes Christ famous and humbly surrenders to the almighty Lord in all areas of ministry. We see a body of believers who know the heart and will of God and not only this but makes it known.
